Alwin Reamillo Workshop
Call out for expressions of interest

Museum of Contemporary Art in partnership with Kultour invite you to submit an expression of interest to attend a FREE mini helicopter lantern workshop with international artist Alwin Reamillo. Alwin Reamillo has a history of making works that explore issues relating to cultural migration and cultural/social displacement. Reamillo has experience working with multicultural groups, at risk youth and indigenous communities. For this project Reamillos will collaborate with local communities to create mini helicopter lanterns. During these workshops participants will have the opportunity to share their own stories. The lanterns will then be exhibited alongside Reamillo's large scale sculpture, 'Thuringowa Helicopter ' as part of the MCA exhibition Making IT New: Focus on Contemporary Australian Art 10 September - 11 November 2009.
