3ARebirth
3ARebirth is a performance installation where performance interplays with video projection live.
In 3ARebirth the elements added to the work are real-time (moving) images that are tracked from the motion produced by the performers live on the stage.
The production was made through a process whereby video footage was shot in front of green screen.
The footage was then digitally manipulated and projected onto the black wall and humble plastic screen.
The performers then interacted with it depicting the story taken from fragments of the Mahabharata.
Technically, there will be no device attached to the performer, hence the performer will have freedom to move and be less self-conscious of the imagery with which they are interacting.
During the performance, there are cameras recording the movement that will sent the data to be analysed with the software written in Flash Actionscript bitmap data class.
Using time manipulation, the result will be projected back adjacent to the live performance or juxtaposed to it into 3 walls of black shark tooth screen on the stage.
A man's journey takes place within the duration of a total solar eclipse.
He later discovers that during the cycle of the eclipse, it is not only the natural phenomenon that he is witness to, but an inter- connecting of three different moments in time and place.
Through the symbolism of an eclipse, 3ARebirth will depict the journey of emotional displacement toward equilibrium - a rebirth and existence in a parallel universe that resonates between past and present.
